Santos regained top spot in the Campeonato Paulista with a 3-1 win at home to Sao Paulo on Sunday.

Ezequiel Miralles gave Santos the lead six minutes before the break at Estadio Urbano Caldeira, before Neymar doubled their advantage from the penalty spot on 49 minutes.

Jadson pulled one back for the visitors in the 65th minute, but Miralles made the result safe when he bagged his second with 20 minutes to go.

The win sees Santos move back above Ponte Preta and into first place on goal difference, two points ahead of third-placed Linense.

In other matches on Sunday, a brace from Paolo Guerrero helped Corinthians hammer 10-man Oeste 5-0 at home, with former AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato also on target in the heavy win.

Henrique equalised in the 90th minute as Palmeiras played out a 3-3 draw at XV de Piracicaba, while Botafogo beat Guarani 3-1, despite going down to 10 men as early as the 31st minute of the match.

Sao Bernardo FC saw off the visit of Sao Caetano 4-1, and Mogi Mirim won at home to Bragantino by the same score.

Finally, Bruninho registered a hat-trick in Atletico Sorocaba’s 4-0 win at home Uniao Barbarense.
