Meanwhile, Mirassol clinched their second straight win after beating lowly Sao Caetano 3-0 at home.
Goals from Marcel, Andre Luis and Adilson Bahia secured the result for Mirassol, who climbed to 12th on the table.
Elsewhere, Cris’ 25th-minute goal earned Botafogo SP a 1-0 victory against Penapolense, who slumped to their second loss in a row.
