Fabio Lima’s 78th-minute own goal put the result beyond doubt, with Sao Paulo claiming their sixth win in eight games.

Sao Paulo moved one point clear of second-placed Ponte Preta, while Linense remained in fourth spot.

Meanwhile, Mirassol clinched their second straight win after beating lowly Sao Caetano 3-0 at home.

Goals from Marcel, Andre Luis and Adilson Bahia secured the result for Mirassol, who climbed to 12th on the table.

Elsewhere, Cris’ 25th-minute goal earned Botafogo SP a 1-0 victory against Penapolense, who slumped to their second loss in a row.
