Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro wants to extend his contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid.
It seems like Cannavaro now has ruled out a move back home to Napoli, who he has been linked with recently.
It was expected that Cannavaro could make a return to Napoli when his contract with Real Madrid expires next summer.
“I want to renew my contract with Real Madrid,†Cannavaro told Spanish newspaper AS.
“I’m very settled and I expect to talk to the club to resolve everything before the end of the year.
“I don’t want to leave because I am happy here and my family is enjoying life in Madrid.
“I want to win the Champions League with this team and only then could I leave calmly.â€Â
Cannavaro joined Real Madrid from Juventus after the World Cup in 2006.
