Cannavaro wants new Real Madrid deal

Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro wants to extend his contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

It seems like Cannavaro now has ruled out a move back home to Napoli, who he has been linked with recently.

It was expected that Cannavaro could make a return to Napoli when his contract with Real Madrid expires next summer.

Ã¢â‚¬Å“I want to renew my contract with Real Madrid,Ã¢â‚¬Â Cannavaro told Spanish newspaper AS.

Ã¢â‚¬Å“I’m very settled and I expect to talk to the club to resolve everything before the end of the year.

Ã¢â‚¬Å“I don’t want to leave because I am happy here and my family is enjoying life in Madrid.

Ã¢â‚¬Å“I want to win the Champions League with this team and only then could I leave calmly.Ã¢â‚¬Â

Cannavaro joined Real Madrid from Juventus after the World Cup in 2006.
