He played in the Premiership when it was very weak, remember Blackburn (winning league), Newcastle (RUp), A Villa (RUp), Norwich and C Place (3rd each!!). Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal were nobodies during his era. In Europe he failed miserably as did all the other English clubs. Difference is the likes of Henry banged in goals when it was the best league, Cantona got a fair amount of goals when the EPL wasnt even in the top ten leagues. There you have it. Cantona was overrated.
