It has been announced here that former Bafana Bafana coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has been asked to return to this country to act as the South African team adviser.

He resigned as coach four months ago to return to his family, especially to be with his ill wife in Rio de Janeiro.

According to reports from Brazil he has agreed to return. He also stated that his wife had returned to top health.

If he does return it will not be before December. He has agreed in principle and will not be paid a fixed salary but will be paid for the work done.

He is currently in touch with the South African Football Association chief executive, Raymond Hack.
