Sunderland captain Lee Cattermole has praised new signing Louis Saha, claiming the striker will be a huge asset to the team.
Saha joined the club last week following his release by Tottenham Hotspur, making his debut off the bench in Sunderland’s 0-0 English Premier League draw at Arsenal on Saturday.
And midfielder Cattermole believes the Frenchman’s experience will prove vital in the club’s quest for goals during 2012/13.
Cattermole told the club’s official website: “Louis has got great experience, you could see that even before the game talking to the lads in the dressing room.
“He’ll be great for us. Coming on and holding the ball up for us helped because I thought we got deeper and deeper. I think he’ll be a great signing for us.
“We’ve got experience through the team with the like of John O’Shea and Carlos Cuellar, Titus Bramble and Matt Kilgallon. All of them are big talkers.”
