(GSM) – Napoli have finished the transfer of Edinson Cavani from Palermo.
The Uruguayan striker has been linked with a move away from Sicily for several weeks but no one expected him to move to the San Paolo.
The 23-year-old forward was linked with Internazionale and Tottenham Hotspur but Napoli have pulled off a real coup and defeated the big clubs in the chase for Cavani.
Napoli has reportedly paid €16 million to secure the service of the Uruguay international, who scored for his country in the play-off with Germany for third place at the World Cup.
