Cavani in no hurry to sign new PSG deal

French media outlet Le 10 Sport claims that Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani has some doubts over whether he should extend his stay at Parc des Princes.

The Uruguay star was looking to leave PSG as he was constantly being played out of position by Laurent Blanc, but he now looks happy to stay seeing that he should be the number one centre forward in the side now that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has joined Manchester United.

With his current deal due to expire in two years’ time, the Saints have offered Cavani a contract extension, but the latest reports suggest he is not yet ready to commit his future to PSG.

Cavani is probably waiting to see how the first season in the post-Zlatan era will unfold before making a decision on his future, which is not that surprising when we know that he is held in high regard by top European clubs.
