Edinson Cavani is determined to make history by guiding Napoli to Serie A glory to leave his mark on the game.
The Uruguay international, who recently netted his 100th goal in the Italian top flight, has been in fine form this season, and is eager to give the Napoli faithful a reason to cheer.
“Having scored 100 goals is something that excites me and is a boost. I want to leave my mark on the game and make history,” Cavani was quoted as saying by Corriere dello Sport.
“I have to thank my team-mates and the club, though, as I owe a lot to them.
“We wouldn’t be where we are now without their support and faith. I think we can beat anyone and I will continue to fight for something important right until the end.
“Juventus’ five-point lead is not insurmountable. No team can always keep dominating. I want to bring joy to the fans and there’s only one thing to do just that…”
Napoli are joint-second in Serie A, with 43 points from 21 games.
