Competition: Champions League
Market: Celtic to win against Lincoln Red Imps
Odds: 8/15 @ Bet 365
Scottish Premiership champions Celtic travel to Victoria Stadium to face Gibraltar title-winners Lincoln Red Imps in the first leg of the second round of Champions League qualifiers, and are big favourites to come out on top in manager Brendan Rodgers’ first competition clash.
Celtic booked their place in the Champions League qualifiers after finishing top of the Premiership last season. The Scottish giants have participated in the group stage of the Champions League or Europa League in each of the last seven seasons, and impressively kept 15 clean sheets in their domestic league which could see them keeping Red Imps quiet.
As for the Gibraltar underdogs, Lincoln have never made it past the second round of the Champions League qualifiers, but their 3-2 aggregate win over FC Flora Tallinn will give them slim hope of performing at the Victoria Stadium.
Nevertheless the gulf in class between the two sides should be a deciding factor in the outcome, and Bet 365 are giving odds of 8/15 for Celtic to win against Lincoln Red Imps in tonight’s qualifier.
