Racing Club star Ricardo Centurion has been named in Argentina’s squad for their two friendly matches against Brazil.
Alejandro Sabella’s men will face their arch-rivals Brazil on September 19 in Goiania, before hosting the second leg in Resistencia on October 3.
Centurion, who has been receiving admiring glances from a number of top European clubs, has been give his first call-up, while Colon de Santa Fe’s Lucas Mugni also gets his chance for Argentina.
The 23-man squad is a mixture of youth and experience, with Maxi Lopez and Sebastian Dominguez also given their chance to shine.
Reports have emerged of the Argentina squad being attacked in Lima prior to their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Peru on Tuesday.
While this squad was being announced, the current group, who are in the middle of qualification for World Cup 2014, have been subject to an attack by a group of Peru fans in Lima.
Coaching staff and players were reportedly pelted with stones as they left a training session at Estadio Nacional.
