Chelsea 2/11 to beat Swansea in Wednesday’s Premier League encounter

Competition: Premier League

Market: Chelsea to beat Swansea

Odds: 2/11 @ Bet365

The Premier League returns almost instantly this week as England’s top league begins to gain pace in the build-up to the festive period. While the players may feel the schedule is excessive, the fans will be enjoying the fact they have very little time to wait between games this week. As always, there are three important points on offer, meaning every side will be going all out to win, and with this in mind, Chelsea host struggling Swansea on Wednesday.

Chelsea have been in very good form in recent weeks and they have been able to climb up the table, closing the gap between themselves and Manchester United. In their last game they drew 1-1 with Liverpool at Anfield, and prior to that, they had won four out of four. This has allowed Antonio Conte’s men to move onto 26 points, but they will be all too aware of the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool snapping at their heels. Therefore, wins over teams in the bottom-half are vital, while beating sides in the relegation zone should not be a problem for the in-form Blues.

For Swansea, things are becoming desperate. In their last five games they have picked up just one point, although that came against Bournemouth in their last match. Paul Clement needs to mastermind a rejuvenation and quickly, but it is unlikely to come against Chelsea as the Welsh side have looked very poor going forward in recent weeks, meaning they will struggle to hurt the Blues. With this in mind, we are backing Chelsea to win with odds of 2/11 from Bet365.
