Premier League leaders Chelsea face the side who ended Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten home record in the division last season – Sunderland. The Blues boss won’t forget their 2-1 home defeat against the Black Cats in April, with Chelsea losing in controversial circumstances at Stamford Bridge.

The North-East club are currently 14th in the table, three points above the drop zone. Gus Poyet’s side have only picked up one win at home this season, and have not beaten a top-half side all season. Sunderland are unbeaten in their last three games, but have been drawing too many games altogether (12 played, 7 draws), which does include well-earned points against Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Swansea City, and Everton.

With Chelsea having picked up 32 points from a possible 36 in the Premier League this campaign, they are looking like shoo-ins for the title. Ladbrokes are backing the London side with odds of 2/5 to get all three points against Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, which could see them extend their lead at the top to nine points.
