Ahead of Tuesday’s Capital One Cup semi-final second leg clash against Liverpool, Chelsea are having a difficult time of late. The Blues recently lost to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge, and they were dominated by Liverpool when the two sides met for the first leg of their semi-final meet.

As a result, this game hangs in the balance a lot more than it normally would. Liverpool were outstanding at Anfield, but weren’t ruthless enough to come away with a win against the Premier League leaders, while Chelsea have now failed to win in four of their last six games in all competitions.

Nevertheless, William Hill are backing the Londoners with odds of 8/13 to get the win on home soil, but it won’t be easy. The Reds are in fine form of late, winning four of their last five games in the Premier League, and will be buoyed by Chelsea’s slump in form.

They have failed to beat the Londoners in their last three meetings this season, however, so Chelsea remain the favourites.
