However, given the embarrassment and cat-calls endured by Avram Grant from pro-Mourinho fans, Felipe Scolari is not only a high-profile signing but a proven tactician at the highest level; his record of success and ambition cannot be disputed. Given the array of top quality players at Chelsea presently, I expect Scolari to succeed immensely, much more than Avram Grant. I only hope the kind of personality clash (with club owner Abramovich) which frustrated Mourinho will not resurface again amid reports that Abramovich most likely interferes in on-the-pitch matters. Nevertheless, there remains no better replacement for Mourinho (and that's crying over spilt milk). Let's keep our fingers crossed that Scolari will get the best out of this present squad.
