Chelsea eyeing Moreno move

The Mirror understands that Chelsea are ready to move for Sevilla full-back Alberto Moreno as they search for a long-term replacement for Ashley Cole.

The one-time Spain international has made thirty-nine appearances for the La Liga side so far this season, including twelve outings in the Europa League where his side are favourites to make next month’s final after beating Valencia in the first leg of their semi-final yesterday evening.

Cezar Azpilicueta has played most of this campaign at left-back for the Blues, but with his preferred position being on the right side his manager Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in reinforcements.

Cole has started just twenty games in all competitions this year, and his future in uncertain with a move to either Real Madrid or Liverpool mooted.

Chelsea travel to leaders Liverpool on Sunday afternoon, and they are priced at 17/4 to pick up three points that will keep them in the title race.
