Chelsea are confident of agreeing a deal for Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to the Mail Online.
The France international was one of the stand out performers as the Foxes romped to an unlikely Premier League title win last season while he also was part of the squad that reached the final of Euro 2016 last weekend.
Leicester are desperate to retain his services and have offered a deal worth around £100,000 per week though Chelsea, the side they dethroned as champions are confident of securing his services.
Kante played in all but one match for Claudio Ranieri’s side last season, scoring his one and only goal in a 2-1 win over Watford back in November.
He has been capped eight times for his country, with four of those appearances coming at this summer’s European Championships with France eventually losing to Portugal in the final.
