Serbian daily newspaper Blic has suggested that Chelsea are keeping close tabs on Red Star midfielder Marko Grujic.

The Blues technical director Michael Emenalo reportedly watched the 19-year-old in the local derby against Partizan Belgrade and was delighted with the footballer’s display.

Chelsea will continue to monitor the talented footballer with a view of luring him to Stamford Bridge in the near future.

Marko Grujic came through the youth ranks at Red Star and he quickly started proving his worth at senior level.

After making nine league appearances last term, the midfielder went on to nail down a regular starting berth this season and has been one of club’s star performers ever since the season started.

Grujic also lifted the Under-20 World Cup trophy in New Zealand earlier this summer, making five appearances at the tournament finals.

The youngster has been showing incredible maturity for his fragile age and it won’t be long before he moves to a top European club.
