Chelsea and Man Utd keen on Andre Gomes; Benfica eyeing Aguero’s brother

hot-transfer-newsChelsea and Man Utd keen on Andre Gomes

Spanish media outlet Superdeporte has suggested that Chelsea and Manchester United are among clubs keeping a close eye on Valencia hotshot Andre Gomes.

The Portuguese starlet only joined los Che in the summer as the investment company owned by new Valencia patron Peter Lim had earlier purchased his contract, but he has largely impressed at Mestalla.

Gomes had a big role to play as Valencia climbed to top 4 in La Liga, scoring 2 goals in 8 league outings.

As a result, the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have been casting admiring glances his way, but los Che are desperate to ward off interest in the player’s services.

Valencia plan to offer the 21-year-old a new and improved deal that would also see his release clause considerably increased.

Andre Gomes is on the road to establish himself as a regular starter for the national team, having played full 90 minutes in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Albania before spending the first half on the pitch in a friendly defeat to France.

Benfica eyeing Aguero’s brother

Benfica are weighing up a January bid for Independiente forward Gaston del Castillo, A Bola can reveal.

The Eagles have been alerted of the youngster’s potential and they are set to try and lure him to Estadio da Luz at the earliest opportunity.

Even though the 17-year-old has yet to make his first competitive appearance for the senior side, he is already followed by a number of European sides.

Gaston del Castillo is a younger brother of Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero and he has been likened to the Argentina star both for his appearance and style of play.

The youngster made several friendly appearances for the Argentine giants back in January but he has yet to be handed his first team debut.

Benfica lead the chase in Portuguese Primeira Liga despite losing to Sporting Braga last weekend and they are 1/3 favourites to see off Rio Ave tonight.

PSV’s Wijnaldum set for summer exit

Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have no plans to sell hotshot Georginio Wijnaldum this winter, but he is likely to leave in the summer, according to De Telegraaf.

Together with Memphis Depay, the highly rated midfielder is on the radar of quite a few European giants and he recently expressed his desire to leave at the end of the season.

PSV chief Toon Gerbrands has denied the possibility of selling any of their star players in January, but that means the Netherlands international is almost certain to quit Phillips Stadium in the summer.

Wijnaldum, 23, has been linked with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain in the past, with the Saints reportedly leading the chase.

He has been in fine form this season, netting three times in nine league matches, while also scoring two goals in Dutch Cup.

Wijnaldum has become regular in the national team, and he started five of seven matches for Oranje at the 2014 World Cup.

Valencia plan to offer Gomes a new contract to raise his release fee? The guy is on-loan from Benfica! At least do some research for your lame ass stories 🙂

Gomes is actually owned by an investment fund run by Valencia owner Peter Lim, which basically means that Benfica has no say in his future, unlike Valencia.
