Antonio Conte has identified AS Roma centre-back Antonio Rudiger as perfect addition to Chelsea backline and is ready to pounce for the German defender during the summer transfer window.
La Reppublica has understood that Blues boss is keen to add the talented 23-year-old to his new squad at Stamford Bridge and that Chelsea hierarchy has been urged to prepare an offer for Germany international who is valued at €20 million.
Antonio Rudiger has recently tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee while training with his country at the 2016 European Championship finals, but it did not stop Chelsea from keeping their interest in the highly rated defender.
AS Roma are believed to be determined to hold on to their prized possession and will try to reject all attempts from Blues in order to keep Rudiger at Stadio Olimpico.
The 23-year-old centre-back is contracted to Giallorossi until June 2020 and is due to undergo surgery on his knee on Saturday.
