Chelsea target Ivan Perisic holds out on Manchester United move

Inter Milan star forward Ivan Perisic is close to leaving the Italian giants with Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United battling for the services of Croatia international.

Perisic has been one of the standout performers for Nerazzuri this season, bagging 11 goals and registering 8 assists in 36 Serie A appearances.

Serie A giants are however planning to sell their prized asset during summer in order to fund the signings of James Rodriguez from Real Madrid and Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi. Inter Milan are holding out for as much as £60 million for their forward and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea or Manchester United would be willing to make the necessary distance.

In the meantime, the player himself looks set to reject a chance to join Chelsea after talks with Jose Mourinho, who personally flew to Croatia to convince Perisic to join him at Old Trafford.

Sky Sports understands that Ivan Perisic has already given the nod and that transfer fee is the only thing remaining ahead of a summer move to Manchester United.
