According to Sky Sports, West Ham are trying to secure the services of full-back Paulo Ferreira from local rivals Chelsea.
Earlier this year Ferreira signed a new 5-year deal with Chelsea, keeping him at the club until 2013.
With the arrival of Jose Boswinga and presence of Juliano Belletti, 29-year old Ferreira may find it difficult to get regular first team football at Stamford Bridge.
Ferreira was one of José Mourinho’s first signings when he took over as manager for Chelsea in 2004.

West Ham completely mystify me. It seems we only want to sell our best players and bring in a bunch of losers, thugs and old men who are on the way back down.
I fully expect the board to sell Green and Noble before midnight for about £5 million the pair.
