Competition: Premier League
Market: Mourinho to be LMA Manager of the Year
Odds: 5/2 @ Betfair

With Chelsea being backed for the Premier League title, while arguably boasting the strongest squad to challenge on all four fronts this season, manager Jose Mourinho could well find himself in line to be named LMA Manager of the Year for 2014/15.

Last season’s winner was Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers, who surprised everybody in leading Liverpool to a runners-up place in the Premier League. But the likes of Manchester City’s Manuel Pellegrini may feel hard done by as his City side won the Premier League title and the Capital One Cup. Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis won the Premier League managerial award for guiding the Eagles to safety.

This summer, it’s been Chelsea whose team has greatly strengthened in the core positions, and they are expected to win the league title as a result. Jose Mourinho has been given odds of 5/2 by Betfair to be the LMA Manager of the Year, but the likes of Manuel Pellegrini, new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, and Arsene Wenger are among the favourites too.
