China have replaced Olympic Team coach Ratomir Dujkovic with Yin Tiesheng. This news comes only weeks ahead of the start of the Olympic football tournament.
Dujkovic has been in charge of the Olympic team since 2006 – and the major team since January this year – but was offered to leave his current position for a different type of job.
A press spokesman of the Chinese association confirmed the news: “His job has changed. He will no longer be responsible for the training and the matches of our Olympic team. Those tasks have been handed over to Yin Tiesheng. Dujkovic will analyse opponents and give advice to the coach.”
Yin, 52 years old, gained fame as coach of Qindao Sharks and also led the Olympic team once before, from 2004 to 2005.
The exact reason of Dujkovic’s removal has not been unveiled by the Chinese FA.
