Chinese return for Turan with a ‘super-offer’

He may have just begun his spell at Camp Nopu, but Arda Turan has been presented with a mega-money offer from China, according to Spanish outlet Sport.

Turkey international was forced to wait until January before he was eligible to play for the Catalans due to Barca’s year-long transfer ban, but he has failed to earn the first-team status for Blaugrana despite some quality performances in recent weeks.

Having denied claims linking him with a move to Chinese Super League in January, Arda Turan is now believed to be seriously considering a move to China.

Luis Enrique is keen to hold on to his player, but the club’s board and the player himself may be tempted by a lucrative offer that was made by an unnamed Chinese outfit.

Arda Turan reportedly snubbed several offers from Premier League clubs before joining Barcelona and his desire to play for the Catalans remained undeterred despite the ban which only makes Chinese rumours hard to believe.

Barcelona paid £27.5 million to Atletico Madrid last summer and they will not put a veto on the sale of the Turkish star who is thought to be offered a significantly increased salary package for a move to Far East.
