Australian striker Joel Griffiths scored twice as Beijing Guoan beat Dalian Shide 3-0 on Monday.
Griffiths, who opened the scoring for Beijing in the 27th minute, has now scored 17 goals for the club in three seasons.
Midfielder Zhang Xizhe doubled Beijing’s lead from the penalty spot in the 79th minute before Griffiths scored his second four minutes into extra time.
The win, Beijing’s second of the season, moves the club into sixth place on the table on goal difference ahead of Shanghai Shenhua and Shandong Luneng.
Dalian slip to 12th on goal difference below Qingdao Jonoon and Nanchang Bayi.
