Inter defender Cristian Chivu will not move to Turkey, the player’s agent has insisted.
Reports had suggested that the Romanian would have his contract cancelled by the Serie A club in order to trim their wage bill.
But those rumours were quashed by the player’s representative, Victor Becali, who underlined Chivu’s intention to stay at Inter.
“They are only rumours,” Becali said.
“The only time I heard proposals from Turkey it has been last season.
“Chivu wants to respect until the end his deal with Inter and ending his career with Nerazzurri.”
Inter are looking to improve their fortunes on the pitch after a disappointing ninth-place finish in the Italian top flight last season.
Their poor league campaign led to Walter Mazzarri replacing Andrea Stramaccioni as manager at San Siro.
