Newcastle United duo Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba have been left out of the Senegal squad for the Olympic Games.
Senegal had been hopeful of naming the pair, who scored 29 English Premier League goals between them last season, but failed to come to an agreement with Newcastle.
West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame (25 years old), FC Copenhagen striker Dame N’Doye (27) and Metalist Kharkiv defender Papa Gueye (28) have been selected as the squad’s three over-age players.
Both Diame and N’Doye featured in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations, when Senegal bowed out in the group stage without registering a win.
French-born Everton winger Magaye Gueye, who switched his international allegiance earlier this year, has also been picked.
Senegal will open their campaign against hosts Great Britain at Old Trafford, Manchester, on July 26, before taking on Uruguay at London’s Wembley Stadium three days later.
They will end their Group A campaign against the United Arab Emirates at the City of Coventry Stadium on August 1.
