Manchester City look to extend their summer spending by buying Tal Ben-Haim from Chelsea for £5 million, according to a report in The Guardian. The Citizens have already added Brazilian striker Jo to their squad this summer and signed defender Richard Dunne to a long term deal.
Tal Ben-Haim will gladly leave Chelsea after his one year stint at the club was highly unsuccessful. The Israeli defender has only made 10 Premier League starts for Chelsea after joining the club on a free transfer last summer.
Manchester City already have Richard Dunne and England International, Micah Richards in that position. Hence, according to the report, the arrival of Ben-Haim would seriously put the future of youngster Onohua in doubt. Apart from Manchester City, Portsmouth are also thought to be interested.
