City keen on Victor Valdes

Daily Star is reporting that Manchester City have joined the chase to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

England number one Joe Hart has been dropped from the starting line-up due to poor form, and he seems to be on the verge of leaving the club.

As a result, boss Manuel Pellegrini is looking to sign a high-profile goalkeeper who could slot straight into the starting line-up at Etihad.

According to Daily Star, the Citizens are set to make a move on Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes.

The Spain international has made it clear he will leave Camp Nou when his contract expires at the end of the season and he has been widely tipped to join French giants Monaco.

Meanwhile, City are also looking at Iker Casillas and Willy Caballero, the two players Pellegrini has already worked with in Spain.

Manchester City will be in action later today as they face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and they are 2/5 to claim maximum points.
