City set to sign Israeli wonderkid

Manchester City are on the verge of signing Gai Assulin, who is dubbed one of the hottest prospects in Europe.

The Israeli has already arrived to England and he will sign a contract with the Citizens subject to passing a medical.

The 19-year-old can sign a deal immediately as he is now a free player after canceling his contract with Barcelona in July.

The Israeli forward impressed Roberto Mancini on his previous visit to Eastlands two months ago, but he failed the medical and thus missed out on a contract.

Assulin, however, cannot be registered for the Premier League at this stage so he is likely to be farmed out on loan soon after signing for the Citizens.
