Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that Manchester United tried to sign Barcelona striker Thierry Henry last summer.
City have been linked with the French forward in the past, but looks likely to remain at Barcelona.
Wenger does not believe the striker would be interested in a return to the Premier League.
He said in The Times: “I knew Man City were interested in getting him but he rightly decided to stay at Barcelona.
“What will he do next season? I’m not sure. I’m not convinced he wants to come back to England but he’s free to decide what he wants.”
