Ghana striker Emmanuel Clottey was relieved to open his account with new club Esperance on Sunday.
The 25-year-old scored his first goal for the Tunisian outfit in a 3-0 win over Olympique du Kef, helping the former African champions to a comfortable win.
“I knew it will come and God has always been good to me,” the former Berekum Chelsea talisman told Goal.com.
“I just couldn’t hold back that great feeling and it takes away some amount of pressure.
“I believe this is just the beginning. I’m grateful to God. I trust he’ll make me shine as I keep training hard to bang in the goals as I used to in the Caf Champions League for Berekum Chelsea.”
