Cole blasts FA over Terry report

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole launched a foul-mouthed tirade at the FA after the report explaining their punishment of John Terry was released.

Cole was called to give evidence in Terry’s trial for allegedly using racist language against Anton Ferdinand, and the findings called into question the reliability of his account.

In response, Cole wrote on his Twitter account: “Hahahahaa, well done #fa I lied did I, #BUNCHOFT****.”

Cole’s statement to Westminster Magistrates Court had supported his captain’s account of events on October 23 2011, when Terry was alleged to have abused Ferdinand.

The Blues captain was found not guilty, but the FA said his defence against the claims was ‘improbable, implausible, contrived’, and banned him for four games while fining him 220,000 pounds.

The 31-year-old later deleted the tweet.
