Corinthians coach Tite has hit out at Brazilian prodigy Neymar, describing the Santos attacker as a ‘bad example’ to children.
Tite was left furious after Neymar escaped a red card for what appeared to be a stamp on full-back Guilherme Andrade during Corinthians’ 3-2 defeat at Vila Belmiro on Sunday.
“Guilherme was trampled on by Neymar,” Tite told reporters.
“How many times have we played them and what was the level of sportsmanship from Corinthians?
“When we faced them in the Copa Libertadores, Emerson made a reckless challenge on Neymar and was sent off for it.
“Neymar fell to the ground and rolled around. When Emerson was sent off, he got up and was fine.
“Losing and winning is part of football, but simulating a situation to gain an advantage is not.
“It’s a bad example for a child who is growing up, like my son.”
