Brazilian newspaper O Globo is reporting that Corinthians are hot on the trail of Jiangsu Suning star Alex Teixeira.
The 28-year-old snubbed offers from top European clubs to join the Chinese side in a €50 million deal two years ago, but he seems to have regretted the decision.
Teixiera has since been heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan, but Corinthians appear to have joined the chase as well.
According to O Globo, the Brazilian giants hope to sign the experienced forward on a year-long loan.
The same source claims that Jiangsu Suning are ready to consider such a proposal, but only if the player extends his current contract that is due to expire in less than 18 months.
Alex Teixeira has fared pretty well since moving to China, netting 19 times in 47 league appearances.
