Youngster Andreas Cornelius scored a hat-trick as Denmark downed Canada 4-0 in a friendly in Arizona on Saturday.

Cornelius, who is joint top scorer in the Danish Superliga with 14 goals in 20 matches for FC Copenhagen, showed his class with three sublime goals, while Kasper Lorentzen also got on the scoresheet.

It was Cornelius who opened the scoring in the eighth minute, before Lorentzen doubled Denmark’s advantage moments later.

Cornelius got his second just after the half hour mark and then completed his hat-trick 21 minutes into the second half as Denmark cruised home.

Transfer rumours say that Arsenal are ready to battle AC Milan for Cornelius’ signature.
