Queens Park Rangers managed Harry Redknapp has added Steve Cotterill and Ian Broomfield to his backroom staff.

Former Nottingham Forest boss Cotterill has signed a short-term coaching contract with the club, while Broomfield has been appointed chief scout having worked with the 65-year-old at Portsmouth and Tottenham previously.

Broomfield told the club’s website: “I’ve worked closely with Harry for a number of years now, so it’s great to link up with him again, the opportunity was ideal.

“A scouting job is 24/7 and I’ve never really had a break for 25 years, but I left Spurs in September and I’m refreshed and looking forward to working back in football.

“When I spoke to the hierarchy at the club about the plans they have to take QPR forward, it sounded like the kind of project I wanted to be part of.”

Redknapp’s side host his former club Tottenham on Saturday, looking to build on a surprise 1-0 win at Chelsea in their last English Premier League game.
