Cox makes loan switch to Bristol City

Bristol City have completed the loan signing of Simon Cox from Reading, according to Talksport.

The Republic of Ireland international has fallen out of favour at the Madjeski Stadium, with each of his three league appearances for the Royals this campaign coming as a substitute.

He returned to the Berkshire outfit in the summer of 2014, and appeared in all but one of their league games last season, scoring eight goals.

Prior to his move to Reading, Cox spent two seasons with Nottingham Forest while he has also played for West Bromwich Albion and Swindon Town and has also had loan spells with Northampton Town and Brentford.

Internationally, he has been capped thirty times for his country, scoring four goals, and was part of their squad for the 2012 European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.

Bristol City currently sit bottom of the Championship, and can be backed at 10/3 to be relegated straight back to League One.
