Coyle hopes to finally get Wylde

Bolton manager Owen Coyle is hoping to have Gregg Wylde’s move from Rangers finally rubber-stamped by FIFA.

The 21-year-old winger is yet to feature for Bolton since joining from administration-affected Rangers in January, having agreed to voluntarily terminate his contract with the Glasgow giants.

Coyle is desperate for FIFA to grant a clearance for Wylde to help the Trotters in their efforts to avoid the drop, and is defiant that the club have proven that the Scotland Under-21 international was made redundant and is owed money by his former club.

“We’ve now sent the necessary paperwork, in conjunction with the administrators at Rangers, to show Gregg was not paid for three or four weeks before he left,” Coyle told reporters.

“We’ve clearly shown he was made redundant, that it was not a mutual decision, that Gregg is owed money, that he never left with any money.

“Hopefully now, with the necessary paperwork having been lodged, FIFA can give us clearance to have Gregg involved in the last few games.

“All we can do now is await their decision. As soon as I know, you will, because it will allow Gregg to be involved in the squad.”
