Peter Crouch says he is ‘perfectly happy’ at Portsmouth and could stay at Fratton Park ‘for a long, long time’. The England striker returned for a second spell at Pompey last summer after failing to cement a starting spot at Liverpool.

“Portsmouth feels like home,” Crouch told The News. “I’m extremely happy. I feel connected with the club and I’ve felt disappointed with recent results”.

“I didn’t expect a lot of things that have gone on this season, but you just get on with it and I’m perfectly settled here. I love playing for Portsmouth. I love living down here. I’m perfectly happy here”.
