Crystal Palace miss out on Ibrahim Amadou at the last minute

Crystal Palace are one of a number of sides that are in danger of being dragged into a Premier League relegation battle come the end of the season, and it certainly won’t help manager Roy Hodgson that he missed out on a deadline day deal for Lille star Ibrahim Amadou.

The midfielder was in London to finalise a move last night, but Lille wouldn’t sanction the move as they were unable to find a replacement in time, mainly due to their inability to recall Xeka from his loan at Dijon, according to Sky Sports.

Palace currently sit in 13th spot in the table, but they are just three points above the relegation zone after 25 games. The back end of the season is when teams are really tested, and the Eagles’ lack of transfer activity could be their downfall, especially if injuries strike and key players kit bad patches of form.
