CSKA open to Jo return

Manchester City striker Jo could make a shock return to Russian side CSKA Moscow on loan.

The Brazilian striker has failed to make an impact at the City of Manchester Stadium after joining the club from CSKA in the summer for £18million.

A source close to the Moscow club told the Daily Mail: “There’s a strong possibility we’ll get Jo on loan. He needs more first-team football, but he’s unlikely to be getting it in England.

“It’s going to take another year to build up his physical condition to the standards needed there, although he’s fine for Russian football.

“The only real obstacle is the very high salary Jo is getting at City.”
