Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is confident attacker Isaac Cuenca will sign a contract extension in the near future.
The Spain under-21 international’s deal with Barca expires at the end of the season, and clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are believed to be closely monitoring the situation.
Nevertheless, Barcelona expect Cuenca to sign a new deal.
“We will complete Cuenca’s renewal shortly,” Zubizarreta told Catalunya Radio.
The 20-year-old made his official first team debut at Barcelona in October 2011, and has since become a regular in coach Pep Guardiola’s squad.
