Barcelona attacker Isaac Cuenca has returned to training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

The 21-year-old underwent knee surgery at the end of the 2011/12 campaign, and was initially expected to be out of action for an estimated three to four months.

Cuenca’s recovery has taken longer than first anticipated and the promising winger has not featured all season for his club.

The Spain under-21 international is now on his way back, with Barca confirming he has resumed training.

Cuenca has not set a date for his comeback just yet, but the attacker could resume match action in the coming weeks.
