(GSM) – Fiorentina have signed Udinese playmaker Gaetano D’Agostino on a co-ownership deal.

D’Agostino scored 11 goals in 36 appearances in the 2008-09 season, and was heavily linked with Juventus and Real Madrid before both were reportedly put off by the heavy transfer fee.

A statement mentioned in the official website: “ACF Fiorentina, after having aquired a share of Gaetano D’Agostino’s rights from Udinese, will present the player to the press on Wednesday at the Artemio Franchi.”

Fiorentina have not disclosed the exact details of the contract, but previous reports suggested they were set to pay €9 million on a permanent basis.
