Danish youngster Nicolai Jorgensen makes German switch

Highly rated Danish forward Nicolai Jorgensen has officially completed his transfer to Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen. The 19 year old has joined the Werkself on a five year contract and will compete with Stefan Kiessling, Eren Derdiyok and Patrick Helmes for a starting spot at Leverkusen.

Fredericia born Jorgensen started his youth career with Skovlunde IF and later moved to Brondby. After Brondby, he landed at AB and made over thirty appearances for them last season.

Jorgensen is Leverkusen’s fourth signing of the summer after Michael Ballack, Sidney Sam and Domagoj Vida.

Jorgensen has been capped by Denmark at U-19 level. He has scored six times for Denmark in 12 U-19 appearances.
