Darmian linked with Italy return

A trio of Serie A sides are interested in signing Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian, according to the Mirror.

Juventus, Napoli and Roma have all been linked with the Italy international, who left his home country for the Premier League in the summer of 2015.

Darmian had spent his entire career in Italy until his switch to Old Trafford beginning at Milan before spells with Padova, Palermo and Torino.

Since signing for the Red Devils, he has racked up seventy-six appearances in all competitions with his one and only goal for the club so far coming in a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace towards the end of his first season with the club.

However he has played just eight times so far this season, with only two of those appearances coming from the start in the Premier League.

The twenty-seven year old is in line to win his thirty-sixth cap for his country as Italy attempt to turn around their World Cup play-off against Sweden.
