David Luiz set for Chelsea exit after Conte conflict

David Luiz is a man who has become synonymous with Chelsea after spending six seasons at the London club, but he could be set for an exit as early as January after reports of a rift between the player and manager Antonio Conte.

It would be the second time that the defender has left the Blues, having previously made the switch to French giants PSG, but is is Juventus who appear to be the front runners to acquire his signature this time, according to the Mirror.

The larger than life Brazilian has enjoyed huge success with Chelsea, winning the Premier League, Champions League, Europa League and the FA Cup during his time at the club. Under various managers he has been a stalwart in the back line, and has established himself as a top defender.

While Juventus are apparently incredibly keen to add the centre half to their squad, they could face tough competition from Manchester United. Jose Mourinho is without first choice defender Eric Bailly for the foreseeable future, and the addition of Luiz could help the Red Devils tighten their hold on second spot in the table.
