Thomas Davis is determined to represent the Carolina Panthers at Super Bowl 50 despite breaking his arm in their NFC Championship win on Sunday.

The Panthers linebacker was forced to leave the field with a right-arm injury in the side’s 49-15 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

The 32-year-old was hurt during a second-quarter pass attempt by the Cardinals’ Carson Palmer.

Davis confirmed to reporters after the game the extent of his injury, but insists he still wants to run out at Levi’s Stadium against the Denver Broncos in two weeks.

“I believe in our training staff,” Davis said. “I’ll do everything in my power to be ready to go.

“I wouldn’t miss the Super Bowl for the world. We’ve worked too hard to get to this point.”

After coming back from three ACL tears between 2009 and 2011, Davis has missed just two regular-season games between 2012 and 2014.
